The Wisma Putra Library Online Catalog indexes and made available

all printed and multimedia materials held in the Library.  The Automated Library System allows you to find books, journals, newspapers, acts,    video, audio recordings, and other forms of  print and non-print materials. The Catalog also records electronic versions of journals, articles, books, newspapers, and they may contain links directly to the online full text.

Searching is by author, title, keyword, or subject in our Online Library Catalog, GeoWeb.
 
 

ONLINE CATALOG

 

Library Patrons include staff and those affiliated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Library uploads registration information into the library’s patron database so that all staff of the Ministry will automatically be members of the Library and will be able to charge books and generate

other loan requests online.

The Library uses the 4-digit number found on the Staff ID card as the Llibrary PIN Number. Please use this number as a Patron Barcode and your IC number as a Password to generate any online services ((i.e. if you wish to reserve,  renew a book, request an inter-library-loan,

or view patron information, change password, etc., on the system)  

 
 

ONLINE CATALOG

 

A Library card (i.e. Staff ID Card) must be presented in order to borrow materials or to obtain other library services.  The person named on the card is responsible for all library transactions made with the card. 

 

Use our GeoWeb Automated Library system to place a hold, reserve or renew items from the Library. Books and journals not available at the Library may be requested through Interlibrary Loan Services from another Library. You can check the availability of the materials through 'Other Library Online Catalog'

The Service facilitates access to information and reference sources

such as dictionaries, encyclopedias, directories, handbooks, guidebooks, atlases, yearbooks, bibliographies, indexes and abstracts, collection of speeches, acts, circulars, etc. The materials are for reference only.

 

Library users can also obtain individualized reference assistance in areas of interest and scholarly endeavor. The staff will  provides formal and informal instruction in the use of library collections,  help them to identify the appropriate books, periodical articles, government documents and other resources necessary and will also assist on how to master our online catalog, databases, and other reference tools.

ONLINE CATALOG

The Service provides research and learning resources in the form of audio visual materials. The Multi-media Room has an audio-listening and video-viewing capabilities. The collection, shelved in the Room includes videocassettes, audio cassettes, CD-ROM and slides, many with accompanying guides. Language tapes and cassettes are also available and  these materials are for individualised learning and for short term loan. Some of the equipment available for use includes slide projectors, audio tape players, CD players, DVD player, record players, and TV/VCRs.

The Room accommodates with 6 workstations and can be reserved or used, on a drop-in basis.
