The
International Bazaar was held at the Safir Mazafran Hotel, Wilaya of
Zeralda.Most of the Embassies in
Algeria participated in this one-day event.During the bazaar, all the Embassies including from Malaysia tried to
promote their countries by selling traditional food, clothing, souvenirs and etc.
The
event attracted thousands of visitors and the finale of the event was the lucky
draw.A car, motorcycles, electrical
goods and etc. have been donated by the Embassies in Algeria and private
sectors for the lucky draw.

China has the largest number of exhibitors with 143 companies followed by France, Italy (79), Germany (33) and the United States (26). From Asia, besides China, Pakistan (21), Japan (10), Indonesia (16), India (15), Iran (13), Vietnam (5) and Malaysia (1) participated. This is Malaysia's first participation. 36 countries participated and about half a million visitors attended.

Meeting up with Malaysians at Alstom Base in Relizane on 29 April 2009. There are 16 Malaysian engineers working here. Another 40 more to come in the month of June 2009 when the second plant opens in Tirga, Ain Temouchent. There is increasing demand of our engineers in the energy sector in Algeria.
Delivered The Letter of Credence to The Foreign Minister of Algeria

11 April 2009, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, H. E. Mourad Medelci received H.E Dr. Hasrul Sani Mujtabar who delivered the copy of the Letter of Credence as the new Ambassador of Malaysia to the people’s Democratic Republic of Algeria.
