DHAKA – H.E. Jamaluddin Sabeh, High Commissioner made a courtesy call on the Inspector General of Police, Nur Mohammad at the Police Headquarters on 20 January 2010. H.E. High Commissioner took the opportunity to commend the Police Force for their tireless efforts in maintaining peace and security in the country. They also discussed possible collaboration between Royal Malaysian Police and Bangladesh Police for joint-training and stronger cooperation between the two Forces.

DHAKA – H.E. Jamaluddin Sabeh, High Commissioner made a courtesy call on Mr. Shafique Alam Mehdi, Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, Bangladesh on 20 January 2010. The Secretary revealed that Bangladesh in embarking on some big plans to develop several places in Bangladesh as tourist destinations. H.E. High Commissioner offered Malaysia’s expertise and assistance in any way to develop the tourism industry of Bangladesh modeling the success of Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board (Tourism Malaysia) and in the worldwide known branding of ‘Malaysia Truly Asia’.

This is the first official meeting at the Finance Minister’s Office at the Bangladesh Secretariat despite them meeting on several occasions in official functions prior to this. Both discussed extensively on ways Malaysia and Bangladesh could intensify our existing good bilateral relations particularly in ICT development, public transportation, infrastructure development, tourism development etc.

DHAKA: PERWAKILAN Dhaka (Ladies’ Association of the High Commission of Malaysia in Dhaka) led by Madam Norsiah A. Razak, wife of the High Commissioner visited 2 garment factories producing brands like H&M, Zara, polo shirts, jeans, children’s wear etc. in Dhaka on Sunday, 17 January 2010.
Textile and garment industry is the single biggest industry that generates 3 quarter of Bangladesh’s export earnings.

Foreign Service Academy (FSA) of Bangladesh
DHAKA – H.E. Jamaluddin Sabeh, the High Commissioner of Malaysia gave a lecture on Foreign Policy of Malaysia and its Relations with Bangladesh to 12 Junior Foreign Service Officers undergoing a Diplomatic Training Course at the Foreign Ministry’s Foreign Service Academy (FSA) on 7 January 2010.
High Commissioner also elaborated on the concept of "1Malaysia, People First, Performance Now" that shaped Malaysia’s foreign policy today and also shared his thoughts on enhancing Malaysia-Bangladesh relations.
