SIGNING OF CONDOLENCE BOOKS AT CONSULATE GENERAL OF MALAYSIA, JEDDAH.

The Consulate General of Malaysia in Jeddah on Wednesday, 27 January 2010 opened two Condolence Books on the demise of His Majesty Sultan Iskandar ibni Almarhum Sultan Ismail, the Sultan of Johore and former Yang Di Pertuan Agong (King) of Malaysia (1984-1989), and the demise of His Excellency Tun Ghazali Shafie, the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia (1981-1984). Consuls General and representatives from various Consulates, International Organizations, Government Departments, Malaysia Club Jeddah, Malaysia Business Council, PERWAKILAN and Malaysians signed the Condolence Books.

YAB PM ATTENDS MBC DINNER IN JEDDAH

 A dinner was hosted by H.E the Ambassador of Malaysia for YAB Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib Tun Razak to meet the Malaysian Business Council (MBC) in Jeddah on Friday,15 January 2010. The MBC formed in January 2009 under the patronage of the Consulate General of Malaysia aimed to provide a platform for Malaysian professionals and businessmen to interact and share experience and information on trade and business between Malaysia and Saudi Arabia.

“ONE MALAYSIA NIGHT” STRENGTHENS UNITY IN JEDDAH

 The Malaysian Community in Jeddah gathered at the Consulate General in Al-Rihab on 25 December 2009 to celebrate “Malam Satu Malaysia” organized by the Consulate together with Kelab Malaysia Jeddah. The event was also a farewell for Dato’ Dr.Ghazali M.Noor who is retiring after 13-years service at the IDB and Dato’Syed Mohamed Syed Ibrahim who has completed his term as COO of Madinah Knowledge Economic City.

 Malaysia’s campaign to promote its Marine Tourism received a boost at the Saudi International Boat Show held at the Al Furusya Marina and Yacht Club in Jeddah from 14-17 October 2009. Tourism Malaysia’s participation clearly stands out with its attractive Malaysian-styled booth with the imposing Petronas Twin Towers.
