FAREWELL LUNCH IN HONOUR OF H.E. DATO’ DENNIS IGNATIUS AND YBGH. DATIN CHERRY IGNATIUS WITH THE PERWAKILAN’S MEMBERS AND MALAYSIAN STUDENTS

In honour of departing H.E Dato’ Dennis Ignatius and Datin Cherry Ignatius, a farewell luncheon was hosted by HBS at the Counsellor’s residence. There were about 41 Malaysians who attended the luncheon, comprising the HBS and their families, Perwakilan’s members and their spouses and also the Malaysian students.

FAREWELL RECEPTION IN HONOUR OF H.E. DATO' DENNIS IGNATIUS AND DATIN CHERRY IGNATIUS AT THE CHANCERY

Venue             :           Meeting Room, High Commission of Malaysia, Ottawa

 

 

A reception was organized by all the HBS and LRS to bid farewell to the longest serving High Commissioner in Ottawa, H.E. Dato’ Dennis Ignatius and also to Datin Cherry Ignatius, the Chairperson of Perwakilan for nearly 7 years. The opening remarks were delivered by Counsellor Mohamed Hatimi Abas who thanked H.E. Dato’ Dennis Ignatius for his guidance and advise. A vote of thanks also went to Datin Cherry Ignatius for her contribution to the Perwakilan. The HBS presented H.E Dato’ Dennis Ignatius with an oil painting depicting a landmark ‘Parliament Hill’.
