FAREWELL LUNCH IN HONOUR OF H.E. DATO’ DENNIS IGNATIUS AND YBGH. DATIN CHERRY IGNATIUS WITH THE PERWAKILAN’S MEMBERS AND MALAYSIAN STUDENTS

In honour of departing H.E Dato’ Dennis Ignatius and Datin Cherry Ignatius, a farewell luncheon was hosted by HBS at the Counsellor’s residence. There were about 41 Malaysians who attended the luncheon, comprising the HBS and their families, Perwakilan’s members and their spouses and also the Malaysian students. 

 

On behalf of the HBS, Counsellor Mohamed Hatimi Abas expressed his gratitude to H.E. Dato’ Dennis Ignatius and Datin Cherry Ignatius for their leaderships. He also remarked that the Malaysian community would dearly miss the friendship and warm relations they had had with both of them. 

 

In his farewell speech, H.E. Dato’ Dennis Ignatius thanked all the guests for the support and friendship accorded to him and Datin Cherry Ignatius through out their tenure in Ottawa. Mrs. Siti Hazura Mohd. Ghaus as the Vice Chairperson of Perwakilan presented a farewell gift to Datin Cherry Ignatius, on behalf of the Perwakilan members.
