THE INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION FOR YOUNG INVENTORS (IEYI) 2008

The International Exhibition for Young Inventors (IEYI) 2008 was held from 24 to 30 September 2008 at the CPC Corporation Building in Taipei. En. Abudullah Mohd Salleh, President of MFTC attended its opening ceremony on 26 September 2008.
This year's event is the 5th since its inception in 2004. The first IEYI was hosted by Japan. IEYI is an event for elementary and middle school inventors designed to inculcate students with the key concepts in science to fuel their understanding of the world around them.
Four Malaysian teams participated in IEYI 2008. Their inventions were pre-selected through annual national competition, the Malaysian Young Inventors Competition (MYIC) jointly organised by the Ministry of Education Malaysia and the Malaysian Invention and Design Society (MINDS).
