HARI RAYA CELEBRATION WITH MAROC AND MSAIT

In truly Malaysian spirit, all HBS of Malawakil Taipei celebrated the Eidul Fitri 2007 with the Committee members of both the Malaysian Residents Overseas Club (MAROC) in Taipei and the Malaysian Students Association in Taiwan (MSAIT) on Tuesday, 20 November 2007 at the Meeting Room of MFTC under the Program Mendampingi Rakyat Malaysia (PMRM). Even though the Open House was held a little bit late, the Raya atmosphere was still felt and the event were attended by about 45 guests including 15 HBS, 10 LRS, 15 MAROC members but only 5 MSAIT members as the students were in the midst of having their exams. 

In his opening remarks, Mr. Shahril Effendi Abd. Ghany, Acting President of the Malaysian Friendship and Trade Centre, Taipei, expressed his thanks to both MAROC and MSAIT for their cooperation and assistance given in organizing MFTC events. The Acting President also expressed his appreciation for the generosity extended in sponsoring MFTC-held events such as the recently concluded ASEAN Golf Tournament on 3 November 2007.

In line with the government’s efforts in promoting ‘Malaysia: The Truly Asian Kitchen’ program, invited guests were then treated to Malaysian dishes such as Nasi Minyak, Dalca, Rendang, Pulut Kuning, Ayam Masak Merah as well as Malay Kuih such as Kuih Bakar and Karipaf.
