The Internet Quiz Competition on “Uzbekistan-Malaysia Bilateral Cooperation” organized by the Embassy of Malaysia in Tashkent and Uzbekistan-Malaysia Friendship Society

 The ceremony of handing over of the prizes to the winners of the Internet Quiz “Uzbekistan-Malaysia Bilateral Cooperation”, which is a jointly organized project of the Embassy of Malaysia in Tashkent and the Uzbekistan-Malaysia Friendship Society, took place on 24th December 2009 at 11:00hrs. at the Embassy of Malaysia in Tashkent. The ceremony was attended by H.E. Ambassador Abdul Aziz Harun, Mr. Jasur Karshibaev, the Executive Director of the Uzbekistan-Malaysia Friendship Society and representatives of the mass media (“Uzbekistan Today” weekly English language newspaper and “Yoshlar” TV channel).

University Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) delegation makes an educational trip to Uzbekistan from 1st to 7th December 2009

 A 42 member UniMAP delegation headed by Y.Bhg. Dato’ Kamaruddin Hussin, the Vice-Chancellor of the UniMAP, made an educational trip to Uzbekistan on 1-7th December 2009. This is the second time UniMAP delegation visits Uzbekistan in 2009, previously the UniMAP delegation headed by His Royal Highness Syed Faizuddin Ibni Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail, the Regent of the Perlis who is also the Chancellor of the UniMAP, visited Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic from 27th January to 2nd February 2009 with familiarization visits and for signing MoUs on cooperation in the field of higher education with a number of local universities in both Central Asian countries.

Report on the Special Trip for foreign Ambassadors and diplomats based in Tashkent to Malaysia, 12-20 October 2009

 The Embassy of Malaysia in Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan has organized the special visit programme for the foreign Ambassadors and diplomats based in Tashkent to Malaysia recently. The visit took place from 12th to 20th October 2009, whereby 21 foreign diplomats together with their spouses and other family members from 7 different countries, including 5 Ambassadors, 2 Charge de’ Affairs and 1 Attache’ participated in the programme. The participants included from Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Kyrgyz Republic, Latvia, Poland, Slovak Republic, Uzbekistan and Malaysia.

52ND ANNIVERSARY OF NATIONAL DAY OF MALAYSIA RECEPTION ON 25TH SEPTEMBER, 2009 AT TASHKENT PALACE HOTEL AT 6.30 PM

 The Embassy of Malaysia in Tashkent hosted the 52nd Anniversary of National Day of Malaysia took place on 25th September, 2009 at Tashkent Palace Hotel, Tashkent at 6.30 pm. The reception was attended by about 250 guests. His Excellency Mr. Aripov Abdulla Nigmatovich, Deputy Prime Minister of Republic of Uzbekistan responsible for Development of Communication and Information Technologies was represented the government of the Republic of Uzbekistan to grace the reception.
