of Higher Education, YB Dato’ Seri Mohd Khaled Nordin signed two MOUs with his
Yemeni counterpart, H.E. Dr. Saleh Ali Basurrah during his official visit to
Sana’a on 1st June 2009. YB Minister of Higher Education Malaysia
was on one-day official visit to the Republic of Yemen and he was accompanied
by 21 senior ministry officials and Vice-Chancellor of three Malaysian

MINISTRY OF HIGHER EDUCATION EXHIBITION 2009 (MoHEX 09)

Exhibition 2009 (MoHEX 09) was held for the seventh time in Sana’a from 21-22
May 2009 at Sheba Hotel, Sana’a. This exhibition brings together 10 higher
learning institutions, public and private, from Malaysia. MoHEX 09 was officially
opened by H.E. Dr. Ali Ba Sura, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific
Research, Republic of Yemen. H.E Ambassador Abdul Samad Othman in his speech thanked
the Government of Yemen for the continued support given in ensuring the success
of the exhibition.
CONVOCATION OF TWO MALAYSIAN UNIVERSITIES IN SANA’A

The first ever convocation for 49 graduates from Malaysian programs of International College of University of Science and Technology of Yemen (USTY) was held in a truly special Malaysian ceremony on Thursday, 7 May 2009 at USTY main hall. The graduates received their Master and Bachelor degrees from two Malaysian public universities namely Open University of Malaysia and Univerisi Utara Malaysia which run their programs at the InternationalCollege.
