Malaysia Power & Energy Trade Mission in Yemen

TNB Berhad has organised a Malaysia Power & Energy Trade Mission in Yemen from 23-26 January 2010. During this Trade Mission, H.E. Eng Awaad Saad Al-Suqatri, Minister of Electricity and Energy of Yemen had officiated an exhibition of Malaysia energy industry.
The Embassy of Malaysia has organised a dinner for the Yemeni MTCP Alumni. The dinner was held at Sheba Hotel Sana’a and attended by 33 alumni. Many of the Alumni have been transferred to different places, hence could not attend the dinner.
Malawakil Sana’a has once again successfully organised Hari Raya Open
House on Thursday, 24th September 2009. Some 200 Malaysian students
were joining this celebration, which was held at the Official Residence of the

MALAYSIA AIRPORT BERHAD AIMS TO MANAGE YEMENI AIRPORTS

Malaysian
Airport Berhad (MAB) has recently sent a team to Yemen in effort to secure
contracts to manage Sana’a International Airport and Aden International
Airport.MAB has been short listed among
five foreign companies that would submit tender for these two projects.The team was led by Puan Hazlinda Mohamed
Zain, Senior Manager of MAB.
IFTAR WITH MALAYSIANS IN SANA’A
2009-09-05 Embassy of Malaysia Sana’a has organised an Iftar for all Malaysians as an effort to build up closer relationship between Embassy’s staff and all Malaysians living in Yemen. This programme was also part of the Outreach Programmes organised by the Embassy every year. Around 200 Malaysians mostly students have attended the gathering which was held at the Ambassador’s official residence. Read

Malaysian Ambassador Abdul Samad Othman to the Yemen Times: “We have successfully removed all the barriers that prevent women from taking part in nation-building efforts.”
Ambassador
Abdul Samad Othman has experience as a diplomat for over 26 years in
the United Nations, Latin America, Southeast and East Asia and now the
Middle East. He has expertise on security, economics, trade, financial
and international issues; he graduated in Mass Communication before
doing higher studies in Public Administration. In addition to his
formal duties he is interested in social work and in Yemen he is the
patron of Malaysian Students Association. He is married with three
children.
