Malaysian Food Fair, 8 August 2009

 


The Embassy of Malaysia in Brasilia organised the Malaysian Food Festival on 8 August 2009. This was the first time the Embassy had organised a Food Fair. The objective of this event was to promote Malaysian flavours and culture. The Fair attracted a number of dignitaries, both locals and representatives of foreign mission in Brazil. The guests included, Ambassador of Myanmar, New Zealand, Timor Leste, Sweden Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam, officials from the Ministry of External Relations (Palace of Itamaraty) and columnist Jane Godoy, of Correio Braziliense, the national mainstream newspaper of Brasilia. The visitors helped themselves to Malaysian delights such as karipap, spring rolls, satay, pulut panggang, fried noodles, grilled beef curry with young banana, chicken rending, kuih ketayap and wajid pulut . The food was prepared by Embassy staff and friends of Malaysia. The entire home-based-staff as well as the locally-recruited-staff worked hard to ensure guests were showered with Malaysian hospitality.
 
 
Kedutaan Besar Malaysia di Brasilia telah menganjurkan Festival Makanan Malaysia pada 8 Ogos 2009. Ini adalah kali pertama Kedutaan ini menganjurkan Festival Makanan yang sebegini. Tujuan utama acara ini adalah untuk mempromosikan citarasa dan kebudayaan Malaysia. Festival ini mendapat sambutan daripada kenamaan-kenamaan tempatan dan juga wakil-wakil dari Kedutaan asing yang berada di Brazil. Tetamu-tetamu yang hadir termasuk Duta-duta dari negara Myanmar, New Zealand, Timor Leste, Sweden, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam dan juga pegawai-[egawai dari Kementerian Luar Negeri Brazil (Palace of Itamaraty) dan penulis ruang makanan Jane Godoy dari ”Crorreio Braziliense” iaitu surat khabar nasional yang utama di Brasilia. Tetamu-tetamu telah dihidangkan dengan masakan Malaysia seperti karipap, popia, satay, pulut panggang, mee goreng, gulai daging pangang bersama pisang muda, rendang ayam, kuih ketayap dan wajid pulut. Semua makanan ini telah disediakan oleh Kakitangan Kedutaan dan sahabat Malaysia yang berada di sini. Seluruh HBS dan Kakitangan Ambilan Tempatan telah bekerja bersungguh-sungguh untuk memastikan para tetamu mendapat layanan yang baik.
 
 
A Embaixada da Malásia em Brasília organizou Festival Gastronômico da Malásia em 08 de agosto de 2009. Este foi o primeiro Festival Gastronômico organizado pela Embaixada. O objetivo do evento foi promover os aromas, sabores e cultura da Malásia. O Festival atraiu autoridades locais e representantes de missões estrangeiras no Brasil. Dentre os convidados, os Embaixadores de Myanmar, Nova Zelândia, Timor Leste, Suécia, Sri Lanka, Tailândia e Vietnam; representantes do Ministério das Relações Exteriores (Palácio Itamaraty) e a colunista Jane Godoy, do Jornal Correio Braziliense, veículo de maior circulação no Distrito Federal. Os visitantes puderam apreciar iguarias da culinária da Malásia, tais como karipap, rolinho primavera, satay, pulut panggang, macarrão frito, carne grelhada ao curry com banana verde, frango à moda malasiana, e de sobremesa kuih ketayap e wajid pulut. O cardápio foi preparado pelo staffda Embaixada e amigos da Malásia.
