Selamat Datang! I wish you a warm welcome to the website of the Embassy of Malaysia in Berne, Switzerland.

Malaysia and Switzerland established diplomatic relations in April 1980. The present Embassy was established on 13 April 2003 after a 10 year period when the embassy temporarily ceased operation.

Malaysia-Switzerland relations are warm and cordial and rich and multifaceted, especially in the economic field. More than 120 Swiss companies are operating in Malaysia. Some 800 Malaysians live in Switzerland, many are professionals working in Swiss and multi-nationals companies, others married to locals and lately growing number of students.

Malaysia is a popular destination for Swiss tourists and likewise many Malaysians visit Switzerland for holidays. This website contains information about travelling to Malaysia (visa requirements, tourism, studies, etc) and to Switzerland. Relevant information for Malaysian is also available. A wide choice of web links is given about Malaysian authorities.

The Embassy of Malaysia in Berne is also accredited to the Principality of Liechtenstein.

I hope you will have a pleasant exploration of this site. For any further information please do not hesitate to contact us.
