OFFICIAL VISIT OF THE RIGHT HONOURABLE DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER OF MALAYSIA TO GUANGZHOU

 

 

The Right Honourable Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia Tan Sri Dato’ Hj. Muhyiddin Hj. Mohd Yassin receiving a gift from Mdm. Zhao Yufang, Vice Governor of the People’s Government of Guangdong Province

 

 

 

The Right Honourable Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia Tan Sri Dato’ Hj. Muhyiddin Hj. Mohd Yassin and delegation conducted an official visit to Guangzhou from 21st to 22nd April. The visit was part of the Right Honourable Deputy Prime Minister’s visit to the PRC.
 
During the visit, the Right Honourable Deputy Prime Minister was met by Mdm. Zhao Yufang, Vice Governor of the People’s Government of Guangdong Province. Both the Right Honourable Deputy Prime Minister and Mdm. Zhao Yufang agreed that outstanding Malaysia-China cooperation in Guangdong in areas of investment and trade as well as exchanges in education, culture and tourism should be flourished further.
 
Mdm. Zhao Yufang, Vice Governor of the People’s Government of Guangdong Province also hosted a luncheon to the Right Honourable Deputy Prime Minister & Y.A.Bhg. Puan Sri Norainee Abdul Rahman (Spouse of the Right Honourable Deputy Prime Minister) and delegation.
 
Earlier in the morning, the Right Honourable Deputy Prime Minister also visited the Press Metal International Limited (PMI), a high-tech factory fully owned by a Malaysian company in Foshan City. Press Metal International Limited is the largest aluminium plant investor in China.
 
During the visit, the Right Honourable Deputy Prime Minister was accompanied by among others, YB Dato’ Wira Chor Chee Hung, Minister of Housing and Local Government, Y.Bhg. Dato’ Husni Zai Yaacob, Deputy Secretary General I of the Foreign Ministry, Y.Bhg. Datuk Iskandar Sarudin, Malaysian Ambassador to the PRC as well as the Consul General of Malaysia in Guangzhou, Mr. Francisco Munis.
