1. REGISTRATION OF MARRIAGE

Documents to be submitted:-

1 copy of Registration Form, JPN.KC O6- can be downloaded at www.jpn.gov.my
ii.
1 copy of Borang D
iii.
2 recent coloured photographs of applicants, size 3.5 cm x 5.0 cm
iv.
German Marriage Certificate with translation in English or international version (original and 2 photocopies)
v.
Passport of applicants (original and 2 photocopies)
vi.
Identity Card of applicants (original and 2 photocopies)
vii.
Fees: RM 20.00. It is payable in the Euro equivalent.
The marriage must be registered with the Embassy within 6 months from the date of marriage. Any registration made after 6 months of marriage is considered as late registration. The fee for late registration is RM 100.00 for the first six months and RM 50.00 for every six months thereof, payable in the Euro equivalent.
Issuance of Single Status Certificate
Applicant has to submit a letter from the Registration Dept. (JPN) to confirm that he/she is single or divorced.
Fee: Euro 5.00
Note: For Muslim marriages solemnised in Germany, registration must be done with the Jabatan Agama Islam/ Islamic Religion Department in the applicant’s area of residence. Certificate of conversion and the marriage certificate must be translated into English by a certified translator and must then be legalized by the Landesgericht (district court). The Embassy will then authenticate these documents. Please refer to 12. Authentication of Documents for the requirements.
2. REGISTRATION OF BIRTH

Note: When the father of a child born overseas is not a Malaysian citizen, the child is not eligible for Malaysian citizenship and cannot be registered at the Embassy.
