1.                  What are the Visa Requirements for Foreigners to visit Malaysia?

2.                  How do I apply for Visa to visit Malaysia?

 

·         The following documents are required for application of an entry visa :

 

a)                  Original Passport with validity of minimum six (6) months.

b)                  Completed visa form (website : www.kln.gov.my/perwakilan/paris)

c)                   2 recent passport-sized photographs

d)                  Reservation of return air-ticket

e)                  Photocopy of ‘Carte de Séjour’

f)                   Bank statement / Traveller’s Cheque

g)                  Invitation Letter (if applicable)

h)                  Visa fee of five(5) Euros (except Chinese passports : eight (8) Euros and Indian passports : thirteen (13) Euros)

3.                  How do I apply for an Internship Visa to work in Malaysia?

 

                To apply for an internship visa, you will need:

 

·         Original Passport with validity of a minimum six (6) months.

·         Completed visa form (website : www.kln.gov.my/perwakilan/paris).

·         2 recent passport-sized photographs.

·         Letter from your University about your internship.

·         Letter of Acceptance from the Company or University in Malaysia about the internship.

·         Letter of sponsor from the person who can guarantee financial support during your stay in Malaysia (this can be done at the City Hall).

·         Visa fees of EUR5

 

All these documents can be taken to the Embassy of Malaysia, Paris in person. The duration to process the visa will take approximately 2 days.

 

4.                  What is the procedure if I wish to get married to a French citizen?

 

         What is needed to apply for Authorization to Marry a French Citizen:

 

·         Birth Certificate (translated to French)

·         Statutory Declaration

·         Marital Status Letter

·         Certificate de Celibat

·         Certificate de Coutume

 

Procedure:

 

1.       Before the Embassy of Malaysia can deliver you a Certificate de Celibat and the Certificate de Coutume, you will need to obtain a Statutory Declaration.

 

2.       The Statutory Declaration can be obtained from the Commissioner of Oath in Malaysia or at the Embassy of Malaysia in Paris.

 

3.       Once the Statutory Declaration has been acquired, the original copy has to be sent to the Marriage and Divorce Department in Putrajaya in order to obtain the Marital Status Letter. If he/she is Muslim, he/she or his/her member of the family will have to go to the Islamic Department at his/her country to get the “Application for Permission to Marry”.

 

4.       After receiving the Marital Status Letter, it has to be legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Putrajaya.

 

5.       After that, you can send the document by post or in person to the Embassy of Malaysia in Paris. There will be a charge of EUR10 for the Certificate de Celibat and Certificate de Coutume. If you prefer to send by post, please include postal charges.

 

6.       When all these steps have been achieved, the Embassy will be able to issue the Certificat of Celibat and the Certificat of Coutume.

 

 

5.                  Can I request the Embassy to translate my birth certificate? What are the charges?

 

Yes.  For the translation of birth certificate, kindly send the original copy of your birth certificate, fees of EUR5.00 and a self-address envelope and stamp.

The translation process will take two (2) working days.

 


6.                  What are the requirements to request for a Letter of Good Conduct? What are the charges?


For the application of Letter of Good Conduct, the following documents are required:

i) 2 completed forms (website :
www.kln.gov.my)
ii) 2 recent passport-sized photographs
iii) 2 copy of Malaysian passport
iv) 2 copy of Malaysian identity card
v) Fees of EUR5.00
vi) Self-address enveloped and stamp

Your application of Letter of Good Conduct will be sent to Malaysia and the process may take about two (2) months.

7.                  Bagaimanakah saya ingin memperbaharui pasport Malaysia saya yang tamat tempoh?

 

·         Tuan/puan dikehendaki hadir di Kedutaan Besar Malaysia, Paris bersama-sama dokumen-dokumen berikut :

 

i)                    Borang permohonan Pasport IM.42 - Pin 1/1997 (boleh diperolehi di Kedutaan atau http://www.kln.gov.my/perwakilan/paris).     

ii)          Pasport Malaysia yang asal dan dua(2) salinan.

iii)                 Tiga(3) keping gambar pasport berwarna.

iv)                 Kad pengenalan Malaysia dan dua(2) salinan.  Untuk kanak-kanak dibawah umur dua belas(12) tahun,  surat beranak dan dua(2) salinan. 

v)          ‘Carte de Séjour’ permit tinggal di Perancis dan dua(2) salinan. 

vi)                 Bayaran yang dikenakan adalah sebanyak £56/- secara tunai hendaklah disediakan memandangkan permohonan tersebut akan dihantar ke Pesuruhjaya Tinggi Malaysia di London. Untuk kanak-kanak dibawah umur dua belas(12) tahun,  bayaran yang dikenakan adalah £31/-. 

vii)               Bayaran EUR6.00 sebagai bayaran pos ke London.

 

 

Permohonan boleh dibuat enam (6) bulan sebelum tarikh tamat pasport tersebut dan proses permohonan tersebut mengambil masa lebih kurang satu bulan.

  

Sekiranya tuan/puan memerlukan penggantian pasport dengan segera, tuan/puan dikehendaki hadir dan mengemukakan permohonan secara terus di Pesuruhjaya Tinggi Malaysia di London.

8.                  Apakah Prosedur Mengundi di Luar Negara?

 

·         Sebelum Pilihanraya:

 

1. Pendaftaran pemilih di luar negara boleh dilakukan melalui Pejabat Kedutaan Malaysia.

 

2. Borang Pendaftaran Pemilih iaitu Borang A telah dibekalkan oleh SPR kepada semua Pejabat Kedutaan Malaysia di mana borang pendaftaran yang telah lengkap bolehlah dihantar terus kepada Ibupejabat SPR di Putrajaya atau melalui Pejabat Perwakilan Malaysia ke pejabat SPR melalui beg diplomatik.

 

3. Kakitangan yang bertugas di Pejabat Perwakilan Malaysia juga adalah bertanggungjawab untuk menandatangani ruangan saksi selaku Saksi dan Penolong Pendaftar pada Borang A yang dibekalkan.

 

4. Pemilih yang telah mendaftar di luar negara boleh membuat semakan status pemilih dalam laman web SPR di http://www.spr.gov.my

 

5. Tempoh maksimum untuk mengesahkan status pemilih adalah selama 5 bulan.

 

6. Bagi kategori pengundi luar negara, mereka yang layak mengundi adalah:

 

i) Kakitangan awam dan pasangan kakitangan awam yang bekerja di luar negara

ii) Pelajar sepenuh masa dan pasangan pelajar sepenuh masa yang menuntut di luar negara (tajaan Kerajaan atau sendiri)

 

7. Mereka yang tidak termasuk dalam kategori di atas perlu pulang ke Malaysia untuk mengundi mengikut lokaliti masing-masing. Maklumat lanjut berhubung dengan kategori mereka yang boleh mengundi juga boleh dirujuk dalam laman web rasmi SPR. http://www.spr.gov.my

 

Sewaktu Pilihanraya:

 

1. Sewaktu Pilihan raya dijalankan, pemilih luar negara akan menerima kertas undi lebih awal daripada pemilih awam di Malaysia. Kertas undi yang diterima oleh pengundi luar negara boleh dipangkah pada bila-bila masa dan di mana-mana sahaja. Setelah selesai memangkah, kertas undi tersebut perlu dimasukkan ke dalam sampul surat yang disediakan oleh pihak SPR dan dihantar terus ke alamat yang disediakan
