WORKING VISIT OF MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS

FOR THE PREPARATORY COUNCIL OF FOREIGN MINISTERS’ MEETING FOR
THE 14TH SESSION OF THE ISLAMIC SUMMIT CONFERENCE
29 – 31 MAY 2019

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dato’ Saifuddin Abdullah will lead the Malaysian delegation to the Preparatory Council of Foreign Ministers’ Meeting for the 14th Session of the Islamic Summit Conference (OIC Summit) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on 29 May 2019. The Foreign Minister will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

At the Meeting, Foreign Ministers will deliberate on the situation in Palestine, the plight of the Rohingya and various other political issues affecting the Muslim world. The Meeting will also discuss policy directions with regard to economic and socio-cultural issues towards the betterment of Member States and the Ummah.

Foreign Minister is also scheduled to attend the OIC Ad Hoc Ministerial Committee on Accountability for Human Rights Violation against Rohingya which Malaysia is a member. In addition, he will be having several bilateral meetings with his counterparts at the sidelies of the Preparatory Council of Foreign Ministers’ Meeting.
