Bilateral Diplomacy
Bilateral Diplomacy

Malaysia continues to maintain close bilateral relations with all the countries in the African Continent. Bilateral engagement with all the African nations is premised on the spirit of South-South Cooperation and Malaysia’s desire to see sustainable growth and development taking place in the vast continent.

The political, economic and social diversity in Africa has allowed Malaysia to project a more dynamic and forward looking foreign policy, through capacity building and social humanitarian initiatives. To achieve this, Malaysia maintains a strong presence of 13 diplomatic missions in Africa and regularly conducts joint consultations to continue the momentum of bilateral ties.

Malaysia believes that Africa offers a promising and vibrant future. With a rapidly rising population, urbanization and growing economy, there are vast areas of cooperation where Malaysia and Africa could explore.
