JOINT COMMISSIONS

 

A Joint Commission is a channel used by two countries to discuss all issues bilateral in nature. Although the Ministry of Foreign Affairs takes the lead when it hosts a JCM, all Ministries and Agencies that have bilateral interest will participate in the Meeting.

 

Joint Commission Meetings (JCMs)
  • The Joint Commission Meeting is the main meeting between Malaysia and other countries under the bilateral cooperation framework under the Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation Agreement (ESTCA) signed between the two countries.
  • It is headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of both countries.
