OBJECTIVES

 

To consolidate all managerial matters relating to integrity under one specialized unit, in order for all initiatives engineered towards institutionalizing integrity, prevention, compliance, detection of misconduct and punitive actions can be implemented in a focused manner, efficient and achieved optimal success.

 

FUNCTIONS

  1. Governence:  To ensure the practice of good governance;
  2. Integrity Enhancement:  To ensure the process of culturing, institutionalizing and implementing integrity in the organization;
  3. Detection And Verification:  To detect and verify complaints of crime and violation of code of conduct and ethics of the oranization and to ensure appropriate action taken; and to report crime offences to the relevant enforcement agencies;
  4. Complaint Management:  To receive and act upon all complaint/information of crimes and violation of code of conduct and ethics in the organization;
  5. Compliance:  To ensure the compliance of laws and regulations in force; and
  6. Disciplinary:  As a secretariat for the Ministry's Disciplinary Board.

INTEGRITY COMPLAINT

 

Integrity complaint is a channel for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' employees and the general public to disseminate  information or complaint related to integrity issues with regards to criminal act of corruption or violation of the code of conduct.

 

Complaint or corruption information and violation of the code of conduct can be categorized as the following:

 

Misconduct:  any act that violates the code of conduct under the Public Officers (Conduct and Discipline) Regulations 1993 and other regulations enforced.

 

Crime of Corruption:  include any offense of requesting, offering or acepting a bribe, offense or false claims, abuse of position for gratification of corruption as provided under Section 16, 17, 18 and 23 of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009 and other offenses in the same act.
