                           His Excellency Dato' Seri Zahrain Mohamed Hashim

      Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary

 

His Excellency Dato’ Seri Zahrain Mohamed Hashim is the Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of Indonesia. He presented his Letter of Credence on 19 November 2013.

 

He was appointed as the Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of Indonesia after the general election of 2013 and is a well-known businessman and politician in Malaysia.

 

He graduated in Mathematics from the University of De Montfort England (1975 – 1978) and also obtained a Diploma in English from ARIELS (United Kingdom) in 1974.

 

In recognition of his contribution, he was awarded the Darjah Gemilang Pangkuan Negeri (DGPN) in 2009 by the Governor of Penang and Darjah Setia Pangkuan Negeri (DSPN) in 1994. He has also received Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (PJK) for excellent services.

 

H.E. Dato’ Seri Zahrain Mohamed Hashim is married to Datin Seri Dato’ Che Mahani binti Ismail and has four children.
