DATO’ HIDAYAT ABDUL HAMID

HIGH COMMISSIONER OF MALAYSIA

TO THE REPUBLIC OF INDIA

 

 

Dato’ Hidayat Abdul Hamid, High Commissioner of Malaysia to the Republic of India presented his Letter of Credence to H.E the President of the Republic of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee on 29 March 2017.

 

Before coming to India, he was Ambassador of Malaysia to Kazakhstan. Prior to that he was Deputy Director General of the Southeast Asia Regional Center for Counter Terrorism (SEARCCT) in Kuala Lumpur. He has also served at Malaysian diplomatic missions abroad as Consul General in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia; Counselor in Negara Brunei Darussalam ; First Secretary in Buenos Aires, Argentina and Second Secretary in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

 

Dato’ Hidayat, 55, was born in Johor Bahru. He is married to Datin Rozita and blessed with three children. Dato’ Hidayat was bestowed the award of Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang (DIMP) by HRH the Sultan of Pahang in 2010. He also received the federal award of Kesatria Setia Diraja (KSD) in 1996.
