PRESS STATEMENT FIRE INCIDENT IN KERALA, INDIA ON 10 APRIL 2016

The Government of Malaysia expresses its deepest condolences and sympathies to the Government and people of India, especially to the families and victims involved in the fire incident at the Puttingal Devi Temple in Kerala, India on 10 April 2016.

 

According to the Consulate General Malaysia in Chennai, 106 people were killed while 350 injured. So far there are no Malaysian involved in the incident.

 

The Malaysian Embassy in New Delhi, as well as the Consulate General in Chennai will continue to monitor the situation.
