H.E. DATO' RAJA REZA RAJA ZAIB SHAH

 

H.E. Dato’ Raja Reza Raja Zaib Shah is the Ambassador of Malaysia to Ukraine. He presented his Letter of Credence to H.E. President Petro Poroshenko of Ukraine on 21 September 2018.

 

He read law and graduated with a LLB (Hons) degree from the University of Malaya. He was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 1990 and thereafter practised law for 4 years. He also obtained a Diploma in Public Management from the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN).

 

He joined the Malaysian Administrative and Diplomatic Service in 1996. Before starting his career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1997, he was assigned to the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI). He was Undersecretary of the West Asia Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs prior to his appointment as the Ambassador of Malaysia to Ukraine.

 

He has also served at Malaysian diplomatic missions abroad as Second Secretary at the Permanent Mission of Malaysia to the United Nations in Geneva (2000-2003), Counsellor at the Embassy of Malaysia in Jakarta (2007-2011) and Deputy Permanent Representative of Malaysia to the United Nations at the Permanent Mission of Malaysia to the United Nations in New York (2013-2016).

 

H.E. Dato’ Raja Reza is married to Datin Roslina Ismail and they have three children.

 

He was bestowed with the Darjah Kebesaran Dato’ Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah (D.S.I.S.) and Darjah Kebesaran Setia Mahkota Selangor (S.M.S.) by His Royal Highness the Sultan of Selangor in 2015 and 2003 respectively.
