CONVOCAN AL FORO: “PRIORIDADES DE MEXICO EN LA AGENDA MULTILATERAL 2017

 

 

On 12 January, the Senate of Mexico in collaboration with the Ministry of External Relations (SRE) Mexico, held a one-day forum at the Senate of Mexico to deliberate on Mexico`s priorities on the multilateral agenda for 2017. The forum was officiated by Senator Laura Rojas Hernandez, President of the Commission on External Relations and International Organizations, Senate of Mexico. There were five panel discussions with the main panelists speaking about `The Future of Multilateral` from Mexico`s perspective.  The main panelists were as follows:

 

i)     H.E.  Ambassador  Miguel  Ruiz  Cabanas,  Under Secretary  Multilateral  and

       Human Rights Affairs, SRE;

ii)        H.E.  Ambassador  Socorro  Flores Liera,  Under Secretary Latin America and

       the Carribean, SRE; and

iii)   H.E.Ambassador Joel  Hernandez Garcia, Director General of United Nations 

       Organization, SRE.

 

H.E. Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, Ambassador of Malaysia to Mexico attended the forum together with other diplomatic corps accredited to Mexico.  Present also were members of the Senate of Mexico, senior officials of SRE, academicians, political science students and members of the media.
