On 6 August 2021, the new Chair of the ASEAN Community in Mexico City (ACMC), Vietnam organized an ASEAN Day celebration at its embassy on 6 August 2021. The 54th ASEAN anniversary was attended by all ASEAN Head of Missions in Mexico (i.e. Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, The Philippines and Vietnam).

 

The celebration started with a singing of the ASEAN anthem ceremony, followed by a remark from the Ambassador of Vietnam in Mexico, His Excellency Nguyen Hoanh Nam as the Chair of the ACMC from July – December 2021.

 

In conjunction with the ceremony, Vietnam has also organized the ACMC ASEAN Ambassadors` Meeting to discuss activities for the second half of 2021 in strengthening ASEAN`s presence in Mexico.
