Among other roles, the National Authority carry out its duties through various activities which includes:

• collecting data and information regarding chemical industries in Malaysia
• nominate Malaysian participants from the various agencies under the aegis of the National Authority to participate in any courses/trainings/seminars conducted by the OPCW around the world
• cooperating with the OPCW to conduct training in Malaysia to Malaysian personnel towards achieving an effective treaty compliance
• outreach to industries
