On 30 June 2026, H.E. Tengku Dato’ Sirajuzzaman Tengku Mohamed Ariffin, Ambassador of Malaysia to the UAE, visited Vertix Holdings at its office in Addax Tower, Al Reem Island, Abu Dhabi. His Excellency was accompanied by Mr. Badrul Hisham Hilal, Consul (Trade); Mr. Zaidi Asraf Idris, Vice Consul (Investment); and Mr. Mohd Shafiq Nasarudin, Vice Consul (Trade). The Malaysian delegation was received by Mr. Amer Al Ahbabi, Group Chairman of Vertix Holdings and Chief Executive Officer of Samaya Food Investments, together with the company's senior leadership.
The visit provided an opportunity to discuss strengthening Malaysia-UAE economic cooperation, particularly in trade, investment and the expansion of Malaysian brands in the Gulf region. The delegation was briefed on Samaya Food Investments’ successful operation of Kenny Rogers Roasters outlets in the UAE and its regional expansion plans. The Malaysian delegation welcomed these developments and reaffirmed Malaysia’s commitment to facilitating greater business partnerships and investment opportunities between the two countries.
