BOMBING IN JAKARTA

 

The Government of Malaysia condemns the bomb attacks that hit Jakarta on 14 January 2016, which caused the loss of innocent lives, injuries and damage to properties.

 

YAB Prime Minister of Malaysia spoke to President Joko Widodo in the evening of 14 January 2016 to convey his deepest sympathies and condolences to the ‎Government and people of the Republic of Indonesia on the tragic incident.

 

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia would like to confirm that thus far no Malaysians are affected in the incident. The Embassy of Malaysia in Jakarta continues to monitor the developments closely and in close contact with the Indonesian authorities.

 

The Ministry would like to advise Malaysians in the country to be extra vigilant and closely monitor as well as follow instructions issued by the Indonesian authorities. Malaysians requiring consular assistance may contact the Embassy of Malaysia in Jakarta, as follows:
