WORKING VISIT BY THE CHIEF CORPORATE OFFICER
TENAGA NASIONAL BERHAD TO DUBAI, UAE
18 – 19 MARCH 2015
 
A group of 8 representatives from Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) led by YBhg. Datuk Wira Roslan Abdul Rahman made a working visit to Dubai, UAE from 18 - 19 March 2015. The visit was intended to conduct technical studies from subject matter experts in Dubai. TNB is Malaysia’s largest electricity utility in Malaysia and a leading company in Asia. 
 
On 18 March 2015, the group paid a courtesy call on H.E Ahmad Thani Rashid Al Matrooshi, the Managing Director of EMAAR. The group were introduced to the latter by H.E. Dato’ Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin, the Consul General of Malaysia. After the courtesy call, the group was brought to visit EMAAR Pavilion and also the most iconic building in UAE, the Burj Khalifa.
 
In the evening the delegation went to Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) to meet H.E. Saleh Al Akrabi, the Deputy CEO. The DIFC officials presented the master plan of the construction of buildings around the 110 acres of land given to them by the Dubai Government. Also shared during the briefing were the challenges faced by DIFC.
 
On 19 March 2015, a meeting with H.E. Saeed Al Tayer, CEO and MD of DEWA (Dubai Electricity and Water Authority) was held. The meeting discussed about the possibility of a joint venture between TNB and DEWA in their upcoming projects.
 
The head of delegation from TNB described the visit as most successful and thanked all parties involved in making this visit fruitful.
