The Consul General of Malaysia in Dubai, Mr. Riaz Abdul Razak, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Kamal Vachani, Deputy CEO, Group Director, and Partner of Al Maya Group. The Consul General was also accompanied by officials from the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) and Agriculture Office of Malaysia in Dubai.
During the engagement, both sides engaged in fruitful deliberations on matters of mutual interest, encompassing bilateral retail opportunities, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) distribution networks and prospective avenues for strategic commercial cooperation between Malaysia and Al Maya Group.
The Consul General underscored the premium quality and robust market presence of Malaysian commodities, agri-food products, and consumer goods within the region. Furthermore, he conveyed Malaysia’s steadfast commitment to deepening trade relations and fortifying supply chain partnerships with Al Maya Group, with a view to progressively expanding the market footprint of Malaysian brands across the United Arab Emirates.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment from both sides to further enhance strategic business engagement and explore new avenues of economic collaboration.
