Mr. Riaz Abdul Razak has officially assumed his duties as the new Consul General of Malaysia in Dubai and the Northern Emirates on 19 January 2026.
This follows the presentation of his Letter of Appointment to H.E. Sheikh Maktoum bin Butti Al Maktoum, Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the UAE in Dubai.
During the meeting, the Consul General and H.E. Sheikh Maktoum exchanged views on issues of mutual interest and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the bilateral relations between Malaysia and the United Arab Emirates.
The Consulate General of Malaysia looks forward to this new chapter in deepening diplomatic and economic ties under Mr. Riaz’s leadership.
