To uphold Malaysia's sovereignty and territorial integrity, to promote and protect its interest and to extend effective and efficent serivces to the Ministry's stakeholders and clients through dynamic and proactive diplomacy
ROLES AND FUNCTIONS
- Upholding, promoting and protecting Malaysia's sovereignty, territorial integrity and interest
- Monitoring and analysing developments in the international arena
- Developing and advising the government on foreing policy options
- Communicating the government's foreign policy position
- Assisting other ministries and agencies in their international dealings
- Assisting Malaysian citizens abroad
