MAFTA 8th (TNC) 18 to 22 October 2010
40 delegates, including senior officials from various Malaysian Ministries arrived in Canberra to attend the Malaysia-Australia Free Trade Agreement (MAFTA) 8th Trade Negotiation Council (TNC). The Malaysian delegation was led by Mr. Zulkafli Abdul Karim, Senior Director of Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI), and the Australian delegation was led by Mr. Michael Mugliston, Special Negotiator of FTA, DFAT. The meeting deliberated issues on trade in goods, services, investment and other issues. The meeting was a subsequent FTA which was previously held in Kuala Lumpur from 19 to 23 April 2010.
