ANNOUNCEMENT: Changes in Services in line with the Seven-Day Lockdown in ACT
The ACT will enter a seven-day lockdown from 5.00pm today, as a result of a COVID-19 case being identified in the community and positive wastewater detections reported overnight. In line with today's announcement by the ACT Chief Minister Andrew Barr on the lockdown, services at the High Commission of Malaysia in Australia, Canberra will be affected by the current rules and restrictions imposed by the ACT Government.
In this unfortunate matter, the High Commmission will be closed from 13 August 2021 to 19 August 2021.
We will reopen on Friday 20 August 2021, subject to further advice from the ACT Government.
The High Commission of Malaysia urges all Malaysians, particularly ACT residents, to adhere to all the rules imposed by the ACT Government and all relevant authorities involved (https://www.covid19.act.gov.au/home).
We fully understand that you may have urgent needs of consular matters and we will try our best to accommodate Malaysians in need of our services. If you require assistance, do not hesitate to contact us for further information.
Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org on consular matters or at email@example.com for immigration matters. We will be in contact with you the soonest possible.
We thank you for your kind understanding and patience in light of the current COVID-19 situation.
Take care and stay safe.
