The Malaysian Government has announced that borders will be opened to all travellers to Malaysia starting from 1st April 2022. Arrivals from the date onwards will no longer be required to have the My Travel Pass approval to enter the country. However, travellers are still be required to adhere to health measures as advised by the Ministry of Health, as follows:

Pre-departure PCR test within 2 days prior to departure flight is mandatory for everyone except fully vaccinated travellers with recent COVID-19 infection who are required to obtain a professionally supervised Rapid Antigen Test.

Non-Malaysians must have travel insurance which covers COVID-19.

Mandatory quarantine remains in place for travellers who are partially/not vaccinated without medical exemption.

Children below the age of 18, regardless of vaccination status, are not required to undergo quarantine and only need to take a professionally supervised Rapid Antigen Test within 24 hours after arriving in Malaysia.

For travellers who enter Malaysia before 1st April 2022 and undergo the mandatory quarantine, the quarantine order will end on 1st April 2022 regardless of remaining quarantine period.
