ANNOUNCEMENT: Changes in Consulate Services in Line with the Five-day Snap Lockdown

 

In line with the recent announcement by the Premier of the five-day snap lockdown (similar to Stage 4 restrictions) from 11:59pm tonight until 11:59pm on 20 June 2021, the Consulate services will be affected by the current rules and restrictions imposed by the Victorian State Government.

 

In this unfortunate time and unprecedented circumstances, the Consulate will remain dedicated to rendering services yet be limited to EMERGENCY MATTERS only, the SERVICES include: -

i) Emergency Travel Documents;

ii) Other Pressing Matters (to be determined by the office)

 

The Consulate urges all Malaysians to adhere to all the rules imposed by the Victorian Government and all relevant authorities involved (https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/coronavirus).

 

As Consulate officials are considered frontliners, the capacity of staff is now reduced by 50%. We seek your kind cooperation to bear with us as your phone calls may not be entertained immediately. Please do email us at mwmelbourne@kln.gov.my with all your concerns with the relevant details to allow us to look into your matter and address it accordingly based on emergency cases.

 

We fully understand the urgency of your consular matters and we are trying our level best to accommodate Malaysians in need of our services in Victoria.
