ANNOUNCEMENT

PASSPORT APPOINTMENT SLOTS

FOR JULY AND AUGUST 2022

 

As all fellow Malaysians are aware, there has been a surge in applications for Malaysian passport renewal brought about by Covid-19 travel restrictions. This unprecedented situation has resulted in high volume of applications and longer queuing time for appointment slot via the Sistem Temujanji Online (STO) - http://sto.imi.gov.my/ATASE/MELBOURNE/

 

For your information, all slots for passport renewal in STO have been fully booked until JUNE 2022. Appointment slots for JULY and AUGUST 2022 will be released in the first week of October 2021.

 

Prior to booking the appointment, Please ENSURE that these requirements are being fulfilled:

 

1. Hold valid Long-Term Visa in Australia - e.g. Permanent Resident (PR), Student Visa, Working/ Professional/ Business Visa (issued and recognized by Australia Immigration with at least 6 months of validity period);
2. Do not hold Protection Visa/ apply Bridging A/C/E (Class XA/ Subclass 866);
3. Clear from Immigration Blacklist/ Suspected List (SL);
4. Do not hold dual-citizenship; and
5. Not under Australia Border Force (ABF) investigations/ observation/ sanctions.

 

The Consulate have the right to reject applicant who fails to comply with the above requirement(s).

 

Kindly also note, that The Consulate does not impose any penalty for having an expired Malaysian passport.
