AIDIL FITRI CELEBRATION IN PERTH
1 JULY 2017
Aidil Fitri was celebrated on 25 June 2017 in Perth with Muslims from various backgrounds attended prayers held at numerous mosques in and around Perth. 150 Malaysians opted to perform the prayers at Malaysia Hall. Simple raya dishes contributed by fellow Malaysians were then served to those present.
Meanwhile, the Consulate hosted its Raya Open House on 1 July 2017 at the residence of the Consul-General where the event was well attended by approximately 250 guests including representatives from the host Government. A generous spread of Malaysian cuisines was served to the guests. Essentially, it was a feast to them. The event was also to serve as a showcase of the spirit of muhibbah among the Malaysian community and the open house concept which was unique to Malaysia, which earned the praise from non-Malaysian guests.
