ASEAN DAY
The Consulate General of Malaysia, together with its ASEAN counterparts in Western Australia took part in celebrating the ASEAN Day on 8 August 2024, which marked the 57th anniversary of the establishment of ASEAN. Also present were Minister for Emergency Services; Innovation and the Digital Economy; Science; Medical Research; Minister Assisting the Minister for State and Industry Development, Jobs and Trade Hon. Stephen Dawson MLC representing the Western Australian Government; Acting Director of DFAT – WA; and Acting Investment and Trade Commissioner for ASEAN.
ASEAN Day symbolises the collective commitment to a cohesive and prosperous region. It reinforces the bonds that unite Southeast Asia in a dynamic and evolving global landscape.
