Association of Malaysians in Western Australia (AMWA) organized the AMWA Golf Tournament 2020 at the Wembley Golf Course, Perth on 1 November 2020 which saw 48 golfers take part in this tournament. The tournament hit off in a very wet condition, but it did not dampen the mood of the organizer and golfers with everybody joined in the spirit of the day by donning their wet weather gear. Come rain, hail or shine, all participants successfully completed the competition which is later followed by a prize giving presentation and dinner with family and friends of AMWA. The tournament was also held in remembering the past Vice President and leader of Malaysia Borneo Veterans Association (WA Branch), late Mr. Bill Adamson who passed away peacefully in March 2020. Late Mr. Bill Adamson was an important partner to AMWA and the Consulate General of Malaysia all these years. AMWA has renamed its Annual Golf Challenge Trophy to Mr. Bill Adamson Memorial Trophy in honour of the late Mr. Bill Adamson and his contribution towards AMWA and the community.

Heartiest congratulations to the winners, AMWA President Mr. Ravi and his committee members for the commendable effort in materializing the Golf Tournament this year, despite the health challenges. The Consulate General Office looks forward to collaborating with AMWA in the annual golf tournament next year.
