Courtesy Call by British Consul General, Ms. TIna Redshaw

| Consul General Ahmad was delighted to welcome the newly appointed Consul General Tina Redshaw of the United Kingdom (UK) on 9 January 2023. Consul General Tina assumed the post in December 2022 following the decision made by the UK Government to upgrade its diplomatic representation to a Consulate General in August last year.
Before moving to Perth, Consul General Tina was posted at various diplomatic missions namely as the UK Ambassador to Cambodia; served twice at the UK Embassy in Beijing; Consul General in Chongqing and Ambassador to Timor-Leste. In London, Consul General Tina has worked as Deputy Head of Climate Change and Energy, and in both the China and South East Asia Departments.
During the courtesy call, both sides also discussed the state of bilateral relations between Malaysia and the UK, and shared experiences as diplomat in their previous missions. Consul General Ahmad welcomes Consul General Tina and wished her the very best in executing her new role in Western Australia.
