FIELD TRIP FOR CONSULAR CORPS ORGANISED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF STATE DEVELOPMENT

The Department of State Development of Western Australia organised a day trip for members of the Consular Corps as part of the former’s effort to showcase innovation and technology opportunities in WA. The participants from China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, USA and Viet Nam visited Pawsey Centre, DownUnder Geosolutions, Carnegie Wave Energy and Curtin Australasian Joint Research Centre. The delegation also visited Centre for Entrepreneurial Research and Innovation (CERI). The programme ended with a cocktail reception where Minister Bill Marmion, Minister for State Development had graciously spent an hour or so talking to the participants and exchanged views on many issues of common interests.
