Meeting with the Director and Deputy Director of Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Western Australia, 22 July 2020
On 22 July 2020, Consul General and Mr. Hazwan Hasnol, Consul had the honour to receive Ms. Sarah Hooper, the newly appointed Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Western Australia (DFAT WA) and Mr. Dylan Walsh, Deputy Director of DFAT WA. They are no strangers to Malaysia and ASEAN as both had the opportunity to serve in the region during their previous overseas assignments.
Also, Consul General took the opportunity to thank the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Western Australia and all the relevant agencies, including the Department of Education and the Australian Border Force for their assistance and cooperation extended to the Malaysian community and Malaysian students in Western Australia throughout the COVID-19 crisis, as well as facilitating the arrangements to repatriate stranded Malaysians in WA to Kuala Lumpur from April to June 2020.
