PERWAKILAN Perth Food Bazaar - 7 May 2017
PERWAKILAN PERTH FOOD BAZAAR
7 MAY 2016
After a hiatus of two years, PERWAKILAN Perth made a comeback with its food bazaar themed as Flavour of Malaysia on 7 May 2017. It was held at the garage of the Consulate where ten stalls offered a variety of foods and drinks to satisfy the appetite of fellow Malaysians and non-Malaysians who flocked to the venue. It was estimated that close to 500 visitors came to the event where all the food were sold out within an hour and a half. Foods and drinks that were on sale include three types of laksa, rojak, nasi lemak, mee rebus, kue teow, nasi campur, roti jala, various types of kuih-muih and a generous selection of drinks which include Malaysia’s all-time favourites such as teh tarik, sirap bandung and milo dinosaur. A special silat performace was performed by Sdr. Meor from Persatuan Seni Silat Gayung before the bazaar was declared opened. The response from the public was so overwhelming and they had requested the Consulate and PERWAKILAN Perth to host a bigger food bazaar in the future.
