SUB-REGIONAL DEFENCE MINISTERS’ MEETING
ON COUNTER TERRORISM
1 & 2 FEBRUARY 2018
Malaysia participated in the recently concluded Sub-Regional Defence Ministers’ Meeting On Counter Terrorism that was held in Perth on 1 & 2 February 2018. The Malaysian delegation was led by YB Dato’ Sri Johari Baharum, Deputy Defence Minister. Six other countries participated in the meeting, namely, Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. The participating countries discussed the threats posed by terrorism and security challenges to the region as well as ways on how the cooperation could be enhanced. In honour of the delegation, the Consul-General had hosted a dinner at his residence on 2 February 2018.
