  • What is Transit Pass?             
It is a pass issued to travellers who are transiting only in Malaysia for less than 120 hours before continuing to their final destination BY AIR only.
It is valid for certain countries and can only remain in KUALA LUMPUR ONLY during transit.
Important Notes :
1. The decision to issue a Transit Pass is subject to Immigration Officer discretion at point of entry. APPLYING VISA PRIOR TO TRAVELLING IS MOST ADVISABLE. 
2. Bridging Visa E holder is not entitle to obtain Transit Pass.

Bhutan                               i.      Passport valid for more than 6 months from day of entry
China                                                                   
Myanmar                            ii.         Confirmed onward ticket to a third country.
Nepal

Bangladesh                         i.               Passport valid for more than 6 months from day of entry           
 
India                                 ii.              Confirmed onward ticket to a third country
 
Pakistan                            iii.             Valid Australian or Third Country Visa.
 
Sri Lanka                                                              a) Transit Visa cannot be given to visitors who do not possess Visas from 3rd country of destination as follows:-
 
·         Australia
·         New Zealand
·         United States of America
·         Japan
·         China
·         Taiwan
·         South Korea
 
iv.           For those on Australian Visitors Visa OR on Bridging Visa (EXCEPT for Bridging Visa E) MUST FLY with Air Asia or Malaysia Airlines only. Other than that they need to apply for visa prior to travelling.
v.            Permanent Resident of Australia is not subjected to Clause iv as stated above
