FLYDUBAI AIRCRAFT CRASH IN ROSTAV-ON-DON, RUSSIA

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs wishes to confirm that no Malaysians were involved in the incident of a FZ981 Flydubai aircraft crash in the city of Rostov-on-Don, Russia on 19 March 2016, at 3.50 am local time.

 

The plane which departed from Dubai International Airport missed its runway and crashed during its attempt to land at the Rostov-on-Don Airport. According to the report, 55 passengers and 7 crew members were involved in the crash.

 

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs would like to extend its deepest condolences to the bereaved families affected by this tragedy.

 

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of Malaysia in Moscow will continue to monitor the situation and provide an update as and when it is made available.
