Yellow Fever Vaccination and Other Vaccinations

 

Yellow Fever is a risk in certain parts of Brazil, Guyana and Suriname. Travelers (9 months of age and above) are strongly urged to get the Yellow Fever vaccine before traveling to Brazil/Guyana/Suriname.

 

Malaysian citizens are required to get Yellow Fever vaccination at least 10 days before travelling to Brazil/Guyana/Suriname for protection against the infection.

 

Yellow Fever vaccinations are available at all approved health centres/clinics/hospitals throughout Malaysia. Travelers must carry with them the Yellow Fever Immunization Card on their trips. Please consult your doctor beforehand.

Travelers may also consider taking other vaccines based on where you are going, how long you are staying, what you will be doing in Brazil/Guyana/Suriname. Please consult your doctors on the specific vaccines required beforehand.

 

 

Crime and Personal Safety

 

If you are traveling to and residing in Brazil/Guyana/Suriname, you should exercise a high degree of caution at all times. You are advised to report to the Malaysian Embassy in Brasilia of incidents which might include ongoing protests, strikes or disturbance, ongoing intense crime or violence, or frequent health alert like Dengue/Zika in areas where you reside. You are urged to monitor local news reports and to plan their activities accordingly.

 

You are encouraged to inform the Malaysian Embassy in Brasilia of your presence in Brazil/Guyana/Suriname. It is important that the Embassy knows how to contact you in case of emergency.

Vaksinasi Penyakit Demam Kuning dan Vaksinasi lain

Terdapat risiko Penyakit Demam Kuning di bahagian-bahagian tertentu di Brazil, Guyana dan Suriname. Pelancong (berusia 9 bulan dan ke atas) adalah dinasihatkan untuk mendapatkan vaksin Penyakit Demam Kuning sebelum melawat Brazil/Guyana/Suriname.

Warganegara Malaysia perlu mendapatkan vaksinasi Penyakit Demam Kuning sekurang-kurangnya 10 hari sebelum perjalanan ke Brazil / Guyana / Suriname untuk perlindungan daripada jangkitan.

Vaksinasi Penyakit Demam Kuning boleh diperolehi di pusat-pusat kesihatan / klinik / hospital di seluruh Malaysia. Pelawat perlu membawa bersama Kad Imunisasi Demam Kuning. Sila rujuk kepada doktor/pakar kesihatan anda terlebih dahulu.

Jenayah dan Keselamatan Peribadi

Jika anda merancang untu melawat atau/dan menetap di Brazil / Guyana / Suriname, anda perlu mengambil mengambil langkah berhati-hati setiap masa. Anda dinasihatkan supaya melaporkan kepada Kedutaan Malaysia di Brasilia insiden yang boleh menggangu ketenteraman awam seperti protes yang berterusan, mogok atau kekacauan, jenayah yang sedang berlangsung  atau keganasan, atau amaran kesihatan yang kerap seperti Dengi / Zika di kawasan di mana anda tinggal. Anda diminta untuk memantau laporan berita tempatan dan merancang aktiviti mereka dengan sewajarnya.

Anda digalakkan untuk memaklumkan kepada Kedutaan Malaysia di Brasilia mengenai kehadiran mereka di Brazil / Guyana / Suriname. Ia adalah penting bagi membolehkan pihak Kedutaan Besar menghubungi anda sekiranya terdapat kecemasan.
