On 27 November 2022, H.E Raja Dato' Reza officiated a community engagement programme initiated by Management and Science University (MSU) to support the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Besides Professor Tan Sri Dato' Wira Dr. Mohd Shukri, President of MSU, the launching ceremony was also attended by the Rector of University Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA), Acting Director of Politeknik Brunei, Assistant District Officer of Brunei-Muara, senior officials and alumni of MSU, teachers and students from participating schools as well as the local community.
As the Guest of Honour, H.E Raja Dato' Reza also witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the MSU President and the Head of Kampung Belimbing on cooperation in the areas of community building, human capital development as well as research and education of SDGs. The MoU will see Kampung Belimbing as the centre for community activities involving MSU alumni in Brunei, school students and the local community. Before the signing ceremony, various activities were held at Tasik Serubing Recreational Park to promote SDGs, such as a brisk walk, tree planting and thumb printing on the SDG pledge wall.
The community engagement programme is one of MSU’s initiatives to instil the culture of SDGs among the public. MSU has undertaken various activities to promote SDGs in Malaysia and abroad in collaboration with its alumni in the respective countries.
