His Excellency Dato' Raja Reza Raja Zaib Shah
H.E. Dato' Raja Reza Raja Zaib Shah is the 16th High Commissioner of Malaysia to Negara Brunei Darussalam. He presented his letters of credence to His Majesty Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzadin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan Negara Brunei Darussalam on 11th October 2021.
His Excellency read law and graduated with a LLB (Hons) degree from the University of Malaya in 1989. He was admitted to the MalaysianBar on 1 June 1990 and thereafter praticed law for 4 years. He also has a Diploma in Public Management from the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN). His Excellency also attended a course in the area of multilateral system at the United Nations University, Tokyo in 1999.
His Excellency joined the Malaysian Administrative and Diplomatic Service in January 1996. He held the position as Assistant Secretary (Multilateral Trade Relations) at the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) from 1996-1997. He then moved to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1997. He has served in various capacities in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs including as Undersecretary of the Multilateral Security Division (2011-2013) and Undersecretary of the West Asia Division (2017-2018).
H.E. Dato' Raja Reza Raja Zaib Shah has also served at Malaysian diplomatic missions abroad as Second Secretary at the Permanent Mission of Malaysia to the United Nations in Geneva (2000-2003), Counsellor at the Embassy of Malaysia in Jakarta (2007-2011) and Deputy Permanent Representative of Malaysia to the United Nations at the Permanent Mission of Malaysia to the United Nations in New York (2013-2016). His Excellency was appointed as the Ambassador of Malaysia to Ukraine and concurrently accredited as Ambassador of Malaysia to Georgia from 2018-2021.
His Excellency is married to Datin Roslina Ismail and they are blessed with three children.
H.E. Dato' Raja Reza Raja Zaib Shah was bestowed with the Darjah Kebesaran Dato' Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah (DSIS) and Darjah Kebesaran Setia Mahkota Selangor (SMS) awards by His Royal Highness the Sultan of Selangor in 2015 and 2003 respectively.
